Who we are
The MVP Dolphins is a summer league swim team serving swimmers ages 6–18 in the Prince Mont Swim League. We are a competitive team in spirit, meaning that while we strive for excellence, our true focus is on commitment, teamwork, and personal growth. You do not need to be the fastest swimmer to belong here—you do need to show up, try your best, and support your teammates. Every swimmer, regardless of speed, plays an important role in our success.
We believe swimming is a team sport, not an individual one. Our goal is to create a fun, supportive, and positive environment where swimmers learn, improve, compete, and grow—both in and out of the pool.
During the summer season (late May through July), we offer early morning and late afternoon practices at the Mount Vernon Pool on the George Washington University Mount Vernon campus (2100 Foxhall Rd NW). Under the leadership of our experienced coaching staff and dedicated volunteer parent board, we provide a motivating space where swimmers can set goals, build confidence, and form lasting friendships.
To promote fairness, reliability, and a strong sense of community, MVP Dolphins families commit to being active participants in the team. Swimmers must be able to swim 25 meters continuously. Families are expected to volunteer at a minimum of two meets or team events. These shared responsibilities help ensure a positive experience for everyone.
Registration for returning families opens in mid-March, with general registration starting in early April.
At MVP Dolphins, we are proud to offer a welcoming, fun, and competitive program where swimmers develop skills, character, and a lifelong love of the sport.
