Mark Lewis
Mark is a DC native with over 30 years experience coaching athletes at all levels of club, interscholastic, and summer league swimming in the Potomac Valley. He was a competitive swimmer under St. Albans legendary Coach Oliver “Skip” Grant. A graduate of Columbia University (1986), he holds a B.A. in English. Coach Lewis, himself, is a PMSL Alum, having swum for the TPDC team from 1970-1981. During that time he was coached by ASCA Level 5 Coaches E Jane Stafford and John Flanagan. Coach Mark has synthesized the detailed technical instruction, the discipline work ethic, and the joy of competition that he experienced in his youth into a team philosophy: "Fun in Pursuit of Excellence."

Reese Samuel
Reece Samuel, originally from Pittsburgh, grew up swimming for Upper St. Clair High School where he was a state champion. He went on to attend Howard University where he was a member of the Men’s Varsity Swim Team, specializing in freestyle and butterfly. He currently lives in Brookland, DC, and also coaches for The Capitol Sea Devils and Howard University.
Sam Alexander
Sam Alexander is a former dolphin swimmer with over four years of summer coaching experience. He has been a part of the MVP program since 2009 and loves seeing the growth in swimmers from being scared to jump into the water to breaking records. He is passionate about living a meaningful and fulfilling life and strives for success both in and out of the pool. He graduated from Cal Poly in 2021 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and has been working as an airport planner/engineer for the past 3 years. Other interests of his include rock climbing, reading, cooking, sports, playing guitar, socializing with friends, and traveling.
Ally Wyers
Ally Wyers, originally from Ohio, is a current undergraduate at the George Washington University majoring in Cognitive Neuroscience with minors in Mind-Brain Studies and Linguistics, and a certificate in French. A graduate of Springboro High School, Ally earned numerous accolades including a varsity letter each year. Notably, Ally contributed to the team's eighth-place state finish in 2021 and was part of an All-Ohio Relay Team the same year. Beyond high school, Ally swam with the Coffman YMCA Competitive Swim Team, where she was a member of the Y Elite team. She was also a coach for the Miamisburg Barracuda Swim Team. She currently is a member of the GW Club Swim Team. This is Ally's second season with MVP and she looks forward to another great season!
Aidan Chalk
Aidan Chalk, born and raised in DC. Team captain for the St. Albans Swim Team, awarded All-State and All-Conference honors. Swam mainly 100- and 200-yards freestyle. Swimmer-Coach on for MVP for 3 years before becoming full-time coach. Also threw shot put and discus for the track team. Going into second-year of college at UChicago hoping to study Economics and Computer Science. Interested in psychology, basketball, video games, and cooking. Looking forward to a successful summer swim season.
Aoife Kelly
Aoife swam for the MVP Dolphins for nine seasons and currently attends Oberlin College in Ohio where she is undecided in her major and is going into her second year. In her free time, Aoife likes to read, watch TV, play violin, hang out with friends and her cat Pablo! This is Aoife’s first summer as a coach and she can’t wait for what’s to come.
