VOLUNTEER.... Get the best seat in the house and watch the action up close!

parent volunteers.jpg

The success of the MVP Dolphins is a volunteer-led team and relies on parents. Swim meets in particular require a number of parent-volunteers to operate. Without parent officials, meets cannot be held. In addition, being an official is a great way to support the team, gain a better understanding of the sport, and be in a prime position to watch the meet.

No experience is required to become an official. All you need to do is attend a training session where you will be paired with an experienced official for a few meets until you feel comfortable.

Our most critical needs are:

Stroke and Turn Judges: monitor swimmers to ensure legal form

Referees and Starters: start races and manage overall conduct at meet (requires two prior seasons as a Stroke and Turn Official)

Hy-Tek Operators: operate computer systems to record times and score the meet

Please email info@mvpdolphins.com if you are interested in volunteering and let us know which training session you will attend.

PLEASE REMEMBER PMSL requires Referees, Starters, and Stroke & Turn (S&T) officials to have documented attendance at one or more PMSL Clinics within the last 15 months. All Referees, Starters, and Stroke & Turn Officials need to pass the test given at the end of the Training to become certified.

Officials must be trained by PMSL or provide USA Swimming credentials in order to meet the 2017 Training Requirements for Officials.

The training schedule will be posted here when available.
